OmeTV Alternative: Free Calls, No Sign Up

Press start and WHO App Live puts you on a live 1v1 video call with one random person. No account to create, nothing to pay to start, and your video calls are not recorded.

What Is OmeTV? Who Runs It and How It Works

OmeTV is a random video chat that pairs you with a stranger on camera, on its website ome.tv and in an Android app. Before a call you can pick a country, set your own gender or turn on Couple mode with a friend, then press Start or swipe to meet someone new. On top of the calls sits a social network with profiles, photos, followers and messages for people who sign in.

It has run since 2015, and the footer of every ome.tv page names the operator as Bad Kitty's Dad, LDA, a company in Portugal. The homepage calls OmeTV an Omegle alternative, yet its own FAQ answers the obvious question plainly: OmeTV is independent and not affiliated with Omegle.

If you came here looking for the original site, our Omegle alternative page explains what happened to Omegle and where the name leads today.

OmeTV

OmeTV and WHO App Live, Side by Side

Both put you on camera with a random stranger. The differences sit around that moment: what you are asked for first, what costs money and what each one adds. OmeTV's column comes from its own pages and app listing.

OmeTV's Camera Rules, in Plain Words

OmeTV calls its video chat a public space, and its moderators ban people who break the rules. Most of those rules are about what your camera shows. These six summarise the parts that can catch people out without them meaning to break anything.

Your face stays in frame

Your real, uncovered face has to be visible at all times. Masks, software filters, visual effects, virtual avatars and webcam emulators are not allowed.

The camera is not a screen

Pointing it at a TV, a phone or a computer screen, a photo or a written sign breaks the rules, and so does streaming a video game.

No links, no promotion

Sending links, even to your own social profiles, and asking people to like or subscribe both count as spam under OmeTV's rules.

OmeTV

A dress and angle code

A detailed code covers how you appear and where the camera points. OmeTV asks you to take a minute to read it before your first call.

Your device, your ban

If a friend or a relative breaks a rule while using your phone or laptop, OmeTV treats it as your own violation.

Short or accidental counts

A violation that lasts a second, or happens by accident, can still lead to a ban. Moderators judge the act, not the intention behind it.

Summarised from OmeTV's Rules and Regulations page, read on 6 October 2026. The full list is longer; read it on ome.tv before using the service.

What Happens When OmeTV Bans You, and What It Keeps

Bans are part of how OmeTV keeps order, and its own documents spell out what follows one. We put the relevant lines from its Rules, Terms and Privacy Policy into a single record, with what WHO App Live keeps set beside it.

OmeTV bans

OmeTV ban record

Compiled from OmeTV's own Rules, Terms and Privacy Policy

ome.tv

What starts it

A report from the person you were talking to. Several reports in a short time trigger an automatic ban.

What is sent

A screenshot of your video and any messages you sent go to the moderators along with the report.

Notice

OmeTV says it tries to tell you, but its Terms add that it is not obliged to.

How long

Set by OmeTV, which can change ban periods. Limits on access can include blocking IP addresses.

Kept during

Your ban data, including specific messages when the ban was for behaviour in the text chat.

Kept after

Your image is deleted when the ban expires. A record of that specific ban stays.

Appeal

An email to OmeTV support that quotes your ban ID and says what you think happened.

WHO App Live

From the WHO App Live homepage

Video calls

Not stored. Nothing from a video chat is recorded, and nothing is kept after it ends.

Report

Ends the call and sends the session for review. The moderation team decides.

Block

Ends the call, and that person is never matched with you again.

Suspension

Permanent for harassment, abuse or being under age.

None of this is unusual for a moderated video chat, and OmeTV's rules exist for good reasons. If you have been banned, or worry about it, the combination is what matters: an automatic ban after several reports, no promise of notice, a length that OmeTV sets, and an appeal that runs through email. Before you switch anywhere, compare what each service keeps once a call is over.

Why People Look for an OmeTV Alternative

Most searches around OmeTV are requests, not complaints: ometv no sign up, ome tv no login, ometv free. People want a stranger on camera within moments, and they want to know whether they can have that without building a profile first. OmeTV's FAQ opens with the question of why you need to sign in, and its app listing starts with signing up and uploading a selfie.

The second reason is the ban system above. Rules that cover your face, your surroundings, your camera angle and anyone who borrows your phone are easy to break by mistake, and OmeTV says accidental and brief violations still count. Some would rather use a service where moving on, blocking and reporting sit on screen in each call.

The third is the device in your hand. OmeTV's Android app is on Google Play, but there was no OmeTV app to install from the App Store when we checked in October 2026. Searches for apps like ometv and sites like ometv often come from people who simply want something that runs on the phone they already have.

OmeTV Alternatives: Apps and Sites Like OmeTV in 2026

Here are five services that do the same basic job as OmeTV. The video window looks much the same everywhere, so each line notes what the service asks of you before or around the first call. Details come from each service's own pages and store listings.

What You Keep and What Changes When You Switch

A fair comparison lists the losses too. Here is what carries over from OmeTV to WHO App Live, and what you give up or gain on the way.

What stays the same

  • A random stranger on camera, one conversation at a time.
  • A free start: the video chat costs nothing on either service.
  • A quick way to move on: Start or a swipe there, Next here.
  • A report button that sends the call to moderators.

What changes

  • If you used the OmeTV app, the sign up and profile step is gone: WHO starts in the browser with no account.
  • You lose Couple mode and message translation, two OmeTV features WHO does not list.
  • You leave OmeTV's social layer of followers, photos and messages behind. WHO does not list a follower system or a photo feed.
  • You gain a language filter next to the region filter, so the random match can happen among people who speak your language.

Curious why WHO keeps every call to two people? Our 1v1 video call page sets it beside group calls and live streams.

Your First WHO Call, on a Phone or a Laptop

Open WHO App Live in the browser you already use and press Start Video Chat. The browser asks once for the camera and microphone; allow both and the first person loads. Stay while the conversation works, tap Next when it does not, and Block anyone you never want to meet again. There is no form, no profile to fill in and no card.

If you used the OmeTV app

On Android you can stay in the browser or install the WHO app from Google Play. On an iPhone, WHO is not in the App Store: open it in Safari, add it to your home screen, and it opens like any other app. Either way you reach the same service, with the same controls on screen.

Starting is free, and our free video call page spells out which extras are paid and optional.

What a Stranger Can See, on OmeTV and on WHO

Any video chat shows your match your camera, your voice and whatever is behind you. OmeTV's privacy policy adds a technical detail: for the direct connection, your IP address is made available to the other user's device, although the interface does not display it. On WHO, your match does not see your location or your contact details.

The rest is up to you. Keep your full name, school, workplace and social handles out of a first call, check what the camera sees behind you, and treat a request to move to another app or to send money as the moment to tap Report. No video chat can stop someone from recording their own screen, so share only what you are fine seeing again.

Questions About OmeTV and Ome TV Alternatives

Is OmeTV the same as Omegle?

No. Omegle closed in November 2023. People who type omegle tv often land on omegle.tv, which now redirects to the new omegle.com, a different service again. OmeTV lives at ome.tv and says it is not affiliated with Omegle.

Is OmeTV free?

Calling is free. The paid part is the VIP Lounge, a monthly plan that starts with a 7 day trial. You can cancel it at any time in the subscriptions section of Google Play.

How do I get unbanned from OmeTV?

Email OmeTV support with your ban ID and a short account of what happened. Reread the rules first: OmeTV says many people who think a ban was unfair had not read them. The length is OmeTV's call; we found no published list of ban lengths.

Does OmeTV have an iPhone app?

Its website shows an App Store badge, but the app it points to returned no listing in Apple's store in any of the eight countries we checked on 6 October 2026. The Android app, OmeTV Chat, is on Google Play.

Do I need an account for WHO App Live?

Not to call. Press start and the first match loads. An account only matters if you want to browse the grid of people online, and you can decide that after a few calls.

Is WHO App Live a free OmeTV alternative?

Yes for the part OmeTV gives away too: talking is free and needs no card. WHO sells a few optional extras, and you can skip all of them without losing the call itself.

Can I choose a country on WHO, like on OmeTV?

You can set a region filter, or a language filter, before you press start, and the match stays random inside that pool. Leave the filters off and you are matched with people anywhere.

Which is right: OmeTV or Ome TV?

OmeTV, as one word, is the brand's own spelling, and ome.tv is its address. Ome TV, ometv and plain Ome name the same service, so an Ome TV alternative and an OmeTV alternative are the same search.
